Kerry has over 14 years of experience in dietetics with over 10 years of that time in hospital-based clinical nutrition. Five years ago, she began an in-depth training in Integrative and Functional Nutrition and has completed over 250 hours in functional nutrition courses through the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy. Functional nutrition is an emerging medical nutrition model that focuses on identifying root causes and system imbalances. Kerry designs holistic personalized nutrition plans aimed at optimizing function and overall well-being to restore, not just one, but multiple areas of your health.
Balancing conventional and integrative approaches to nutrition care, she helps you identify which foods make you feel most radiant and energized and compassionately explores which foods contribute to your most challenging and subtle symptoms. Kerry completed an extensive training in Culinary Biochemistry deepening her skills in translating and personalizing nutrition science to the plate. A Few Words from Kerry
Before I was a dietitian, I spent many adventurous years working as an environmental and museum educator in Colorado, California, and Alaska. My experiences studying and exploring nature influence my passion for plant-based eating. It brings me joy to prepare and see a bright landscape of color on my chopping blocks and plate - it's like bringing a little bit of nature inside. Whether strolling in a meadow of flowers, digging among roots in a garden, or leaning on a strong and sturdy tree trunk, plants have the power to heal.
Through functional nutrition and persistent practice in yoga and mindfulness, I've recovered from years of gastrointestinal issues, PCOS, and challenges with food sensitivities. I understand that change is hard, and nutrition can be confusing, but there are solutions and personalized approaches available. That's why I created Gundlach Nutrition-- to respond to people asking for help, because you and your health matter!
